I really can't say enough about this place. Oh and the price for our room was more than a bargain. This trip was a 8 day road trip, but next time we come we will just plant ourselves here, relax, enjoy ourselves and just 'get away'. The farm was beautiful and the horses well loved. She was so comfortable there you would have thought she owned the place. She found the rabbits and chickens and would run out every morning just to say hi them them, holld them and of course name them. My grand daughter was in heaven! The girls let here help get the horses ready and then wash them off at the end.
Charlotte stayed back with me while the daughter and grand daughter were able to ride ahead with Hannah. I hadn't been on a horse since I was a kid and they picked the perfect horse for me. The girls that took us on several trail rides, Charlotte and Hannah, were patient they must have answered a million questions from me. Everyone was very personal, it felt like we were long time friends. Everyone was friendly, laid back and beyond helpful, Marie (owner) and Hope who phoned me to setup our stay. From the very first contact to the very sad (for us) last day. The folks here was absolutely wonderful! I came here with my daughter and grand daughter (9) for a 'get away' from it all and so my grand daughter could go horseback riding. our only regret is that we are not proficient horse riders as we would have loved to have gone out over the beautiful Tennessee countryside. Staying on the farm was a novelty for us and we're so glad we did it.

You can make coffee in your room and we were given some capri sun drinks and cereal bars for the morning, so don't expect a full monty breakfast. Our room at Clearwater was clean and comfortable and was like staying in a little log cabin! Comfy bed and the peace and quiet was wonderful. We took Jesse's advice and drove into Shelbyville to eat at 'Legends' restaurant.

He was an excellent teacher and did a great job of putting us at our ease as we attempted to look the part sitting on our horses 'Goat' and 'Sledge'! As we walked at a gentle pace (the horses were very patient with us novice riders!) Jesse was happy to answer all our questions about horses and Tennessee.The sky was clear blue, sun was shining.bliss :) Afterwards we were free to roam around the farm. Jesse was the unlucky guy who got to take us 'city slickers' on a 1 hour ride around the beautiful farm. Marie the owner was very friendly and helpful. We'd read about the famous Tennessee walking horses so we thought we'd try a night on a horse farm.as you do! Our afternoon on the farm and nights stay in the Quarterhorse room was one of the highlights of our 3 week trip. It's amazing what we can do!!We also invite WEDDINGS and have built a lovely arbour and aisle to go along side our airconditioned Cowboy Lodge gathering room.I'll start by saying neither my husband nor I can ride a horse.we were on a driving tour of the Deep South and were travelling through Tennessee. Pets are welcome, and we also have a well stocked pond, with catfish and bass! All the rooms are ground floor, and the Mule lodge has 2 bedrooms and can accommodate a large family and the Gypsy Horse apartment is large and inviting with a kitchen, and the option to link it to one of the other rooms,namely the Safari Room.
Clearview has 12 different horse breeds, so if you want to try a few days or more on a farm,this is it! Horseback rides are available to guests whether they have ridden before or not.

All the rooms have a queen bed and a day bed, their own private bathrooms and front doors and air con, fridge, TV, coffee maker and there is a cute breakfast room offering CONTINENTAL breakfast only, with a microwave plus a grill outside.
